INFINITE’s Sungyeol and Pyo Ye Jin‘s upcoming drama, “Love Returns,” has revealed three new posters and behind-the-scenes stills!
The KBS evening drama, also called “Hate You But I Love You” (literal title), is a family drama teaching the importance of love and affection between people rather than blood or legal relations and follows the story of a young woman starting her life anew after losing everything (Pyo Ye Jin).
The posters highlight the love between Pyo Ye Jin’s character and Sungyeol’s character, but also the obstacles in their way. Both are part of fragmented families, but their romance will be the “puzzle piece” that puts them all back together. In another poster, Han Hye Rin and Lee Dong Ha rip apart a photo of Sungyeol and Pyo Ye Jin looking happy, signifying a possible love triangle or two.
The show also released some behind-the-scenes stills of Sungyeol working hard on his scenes, consulting the script and conferring with the director. He plays Hong Suk Pyo, who is the owner of a company but unbeknownst to his employees actually works as a security guard at a subsidiary company.
The production staff of “Love Returns” said, “The passion and ambition we see from Sungyeol on set is amazing. He communicates proactively with the director, cast, and crew, and his good manners and sincere behavior receives a lot of praise.”
“Love Returns” is slated to air on November 13 following the end of “Lovers in Bloom.”
KBS’s upcoming family drama “Hate You But I Love You” (literal translation) released the first stills of INFINITE’s Sungyeol as the male lead.
“Hate You But I Love You” is a family drama that revolves around a lesson that the the biggest value that keeps people going isn’t blood-related family or law but love and affection that is slowly built between humans.
In the drama, Sungyeol will play Hong Suk Pyo, the CEO of the company Genius Chemical who is actually working as a janitor at a subsidiary company, Genius Beauty Center, due to unavoidable circumstances. Pyo Ye Jin, the female lead, will play Gil Eun Jo, a girl who loses everything and starts a new life to find happiness. Hong Suk Pyo and Gil Eun Jo quarrel every time they meet, but eventually, he gets drawn to her and finds true love.
In the still cuts, Sungyeol is gazing at someone with gloomy eyes that are filled with complicated emotions. His expression exudes charisma and coldness, which gives off a mature vibe.
On the first day of filming, Sungyeol was passionate and hard-working. Before the filming started, he checked his position and examined his script carefully. Afterwards, he watched the monitor to check his acting.
The new drama will replace “Lovers in Bloom” once it’s over, and the first episode will air on November 13 at 8:25 p.m. KST.

Pyo Yejin and Lee Sungyeol, who will play the lead roles Gil Eunjo and Hong Seokpyo, were completely immersed in their characters, as seen from their subtle facial expressions and breath. From the beginning of the drama, the two characters get on each other's nerves. The two actors portrayed such power struggle in a pleasant and funny manner.
Senior actors like Song Ok Sook and Lee Ah Hyun acted with great depth and stability, keeping the drama's balance. The young bloods added vitality to the drama.

On the October 21 episode of SBS’s “Master Key,” many popular celebrities known for their variety skills appeared, including Super Junior’s Eunhyuk, FTISLAND’s Lee Hong Ki, 2PM’s Chansung, INFINITE’s Sungjong, iKON’s Bobby, gugudan’s Kim Sejeong, and DIA’s Jung Chaeyeon.
The cast members spent some time outside introducing themselves. When it was Sungjong’s turn to introduce himself, Lee Soo Geun revealed, “Sungjong doesn’t do any outdoor activities.”
Upon hearing this, Jun Hyun Moo asked, “Why? Is that why you’re so pale?”
“No, it’s because I don’t have activities in general,” Sungjong joked, referring to INFINITE’s long hiatus.
