MBC’s drama “Ruler: Master of the Mask” has kept its spot in first place among the Wednesday-Thursday dramas in terms of viewership ratings.

According to the viewership ratings research company Nielsen Korea on July 7, the July 6 episodes of “Ruler: Master of the Mask” hit 12.8 percent and 14.9 percent. This is a 0.2 percent and 1.3 percent jump from the previous episodes, which recorded 12.6 percent and 13.7 percent. This makes “Ruler: Master of the Mask” the only drama in its time slot to jump over the 10 percent hurdle.

His name is Heo Joon-ho, a.k.a Daemok. Kim Myung Soo is standing in front of Daemok.

Though he was not perfect, he did his best. He tried harder than anyone. He overcame the prejudice against “Hallyu idol” and became an actor.

That’s why he can’t let go of the script. He needs to practice more and more to express his feelings and show his looks in front of Daemok.

But when Ga Eun told him to save the crown prince (Yoo Seung-ho) first, Lee Sun got hurt. He felt betrayed and he expressed his anger with his footsteps.

When the shooting ends, Heo Joon-ho starts to care for him. He made Kim Myung Soo feel relaxed. He kept talking with him throughout the rehearsal.

The cast of “Ruler: Master of the Mask” has expressed their feelings after they wrapped up filming for the drama.

On the evening of July 3, the cast and crew of MBC drama “Ruler: Master of the Mask” got together for a wrap party after finishing shooting the drama. Actors Yoo Seung Ho, Kim So Hyun, INFINITE’s L, Yoon So Hee, Park Chul Min, Shin Hyun Soo, and more were in attendance.

Yoo Seung Ho told reporters, “I can’t believe that filming is over. As there’s still more of the drama [to air], I hope you will give it a lot of love until the end.”

Kim So Hyun said, “Although it’s very sad to have finished our six-month filming, I was happy. I think I’ll miss the other actors a lot.”

When asked about the popularity of the relationship between her character and Yoo Seung Ho’s, she said she was very surprised by how much people liked them. “If an opportunity arises, I’d like to work with him again in another work,” she added.

L commented, “The actors worked really hard while filming. Please show a lot of love for the remaining episodes, and for me.”

It was mentioned to L that his acting in this drama has garnered great reviews, and he replied, “I think it was thanks to the really great director, staff, and cinematographer.” He also promised to continue to work hard in future projects.

Yoon So Hee said, “We worked hard from autumn to summer, and I think we were able to wrap up filming without any issues because the cast and staff were all so great.”

“We all had a hard time together for the past six months, but it’s sad that the filming is over,” said Shin Hyun Soo. He also thanked the cast and crew.

“Ruler: Master of the Mask” premiered on MBC in May, and will continue to run until its finale on July 13, with new episodes on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

On the June 21 episode, Sung Kyu joined the talk show as the special MC. Following his introduction, the other MCs asked, "When's INFINITE making a comeback?''
Sung Kyu was not able to immediately answer but hesitantly said, "After we come to an agreement with our contract... It's renewal season so... Our contract just came to an end last week."
To this, Yoon Jong Shin jokingly commented, "Let's go solo." Sung Kyu responded, "I released a solo album twice. I'll be back with a good album again."
INFINITE's contract with Woollim Entertainment officially came to an end on June 9. On the 12th, the label explained the contract renewal with the group is under discussion in a positive direction.
